I read Terry's "The Boss" and I'm glad he magnified the character Dean in Almost There... it was almost as if the pages were turning themselves.... I mean....I could not put it down! This book captivates the reader and paints word pictures so vivid that it feels more like watching a movie than reading a book. You actually feel like you are  hearing, seeing, feeling everything you read. I'm looking forward to Terry's next book!

Each story battled to become the favorite within my heart. As I neared the end of the book, I was surprised to find Terry had saved the best for last. The final three or four stories in "Backbeats and Innocence" are probably the strongest of all... as a writer,  Terry's found his sweet spot -

I had the privilege to read the first two books Terry Newberry wrote; “The Boss” and “Almost There”. Terry has a wonderful way of drawing you in and keeping your interest piqued with his unique writing style! The continuation of his character, Dean, in Almost There, had me captivated from the beginning—I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough in anticipation of what would happen next on his journey! Highly recommend!
